CHEF

Suzanne Trice

After 23 years in education as a teacher, principal and Director of Operations, Chef Suzanne took a leap of faith and followed a long time dream. At the age of 48, she left the field of education and went to Culinary School! She attended the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and graduated top of her class with the Most Likely to Succeed Award.  She externed and later was employed full time at The Modern, a two star Michelin restaurant, then rounded out her experience by working for the White Apron, a high end catering company, serving as a catering chef doing production and events in the New England area.  Her next culinary adventure involved a yachting journey as the sole chef on S/Y Radiance out of Palma, Spain and later Antigua. She received many accolades during the charter season and won first place in the Chef de Concours competition at the Annual Antigua Boat show in December 2022.  Chef Suzanne is currently splitting her time continuing to serve as a freelance yacht chef and is the chef owner of Sweetwater Kitchen, LLC., a private chef and catering company serving New Hampshire’s lakes region and the seacoast. She has partnered with the Pickering House Inn in Wolfeboro for their Barn Dinner series as well as acting as one of their preferred caterers for private events. Suzanne’s creative and healthy menus as well as her engaging personality make her a natural to partner with our retreat in 2024!

ARTIST & SEPTEMBER 2021 RETREAT INSTUCTOR

Cynthia Rosen

Cynthia Rosen paints with a contemporary vision that bridges the representational world with the intangibility of time as explored by the Impressionists, Expressionists, Futurists and Color Field painters. Her work has been recognized for spurring a change in the Plein Air community as she melds her love of nature with painting, often painting outdoors, creating images that stretch beyond the traditional, with a palette knife as an integral tool. Rosen has been featured in Plein Air Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, the Outdoor Painter and American Art Collector. She was also invited to make an instructional video which was released through Streamline Art Videos in 2018, and was on the faculty of the Plein Air Art Convention in 2019.
